Challenge: The School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia needed a comprehensive revamping of its website and image. They wanted to change their website from a brochure-style website into a platform where the faculty and students could present and share their work with the world. On the other hand, they also wanted the website to serve as a hub where all the academic and social functions of the faculty could converge and be showcased.

Solution: The solution that we proposed was a multi-functional website that could embody and display the following in a clean and concise fashion:

  • all news, events and calendars
  • research work and academic projects
  • All courses and their related paper work
  • a job listing

Result: The SPPH website is now a dynamic platform as well as a hub which systematically brings together a cluster of information under a simple navigation structure and is equipped with a set of features that enables the academic community to contribute and publish a variety of related content to the site. It Now serves as the one stop shop for the faculty and students’ academic needs.
